Organised by the team behind last October's brilliant Doctor Who Comics PubCon - Vworp Vworp!, the Lass O'Gowrie is proud to present an Audience with Dez Skinn on July 8th from 6:30pm, in conjunction with Quality Communications.
Headhunted away from editing the UK MAD Magazine and House of Hammer for Warner Bros, he became editorial director for the UK arm of Marvel Comics, where he reported directly to Stan Lee and launched Doctor Who Weekly and Hulk Comic, among other titles. After leaving Marvel, for his own company, Quality Communications, he founded and edited the comics anthology Warrior which went on to win 17 Eagle Awards, introduce V for Vendetta and revive Marvelman/Miracleman. He then launched the comics trade magazine Comics International, which he published and edited for the following 16 years.
Dez was undoubtedly one of the stars of our Vworp Vworp! con at the Lass back in October, and we're genuinely chuffed to have Dez join us for a chat. Somewhere between the Jor El and Gene Hunt of comics, he's a one off is Dez. His Tom Baker and Alan Moore tales are worth the admission money alone!
Interviewing duties will be mainly handled by Who art supremo Adrian Salmon - aided and abetted by Gareth Kavanagh, so expect plenty of time on Dez's famed Hammer House of Horror comic from the 70's, Doctor Who Weekly, Warrior and more.
Tickets cost a bargainous £6.00 a head, with doors open from 6:30pm with the evening likely to end by 9pm at the latest. As an added treat, Dez will be followed by a free gig from the legendary Mr. B - Gentleman Rhymer. If you've never heard of this colossal talent, he's a true one off - check out the following to see where we're coming from.

Please note; numbers for Dez Skinn are strictly limited to 30 attendees, so when we're sold out - that's it!
