Here a few rough poses from the flash board for a Nickelodeon show we did last year. Theres a few frame grabs on my blog. Also my company website should be up on Monday (fingers crossed)...

There's very in depth development stuff on there. I'll give you a nod when it goes up.

Yeah, After effects is a great program. I use it every day. This show I'm making now ...the boards are done in Flash. I cut the animatic in AE, then animation is done back in Flash. Usually, animation and backgrounds meet up back in AE for compositing. But this show our Canadian animation team are comping directly out of Flash with a rendering thing called Flash ants. Don't know too much about it other than its a pain in the arse for me getting the re-shoots i need.

I've never really got into Flash. I always say I'm going to learn but my dabbling (and failing) with Flash websites has always put me off.

After Effects though came to me really quickly and a lot of that is time line based.

Amazing what can be done in Flash really. Waltz with Bashir was done in Flash even the stuff that looks 3d.

I sort of picked flash up from just doing it. At its most basic its a timeline with a bit to draw in at the bottom. Thats why its a great boarding tool. Things can get heavy though with the brush tool. Things really start to slow up on bigger shows. One good book i bought early on was Flash MX design for TV and animation. You don't see it very often though.

Its got a real nice flow to it, did you teach yourself flash?
Any good tutorials or books you can recommend? I did
use flash abit when i helped a friend get her film coloured
on time. That crash course led to this
