It makes me upset...
Dr Who uses his mind not his fists. And yes the characters look horrible. The backgrounds and robots are all oddly proffessional looking though
Part 2 is much better. I'm not really into the style of the human characters but the Daleks look great.
It does kind of raise the debate of 'when is it accurate to call it anime' though.
I think turning someone else's diary into a comic would be tricky because they probably wouldn't have written it in a way that describes enough of their day to translate into pictures. It's an interesting idea though. You'd have to do a lot of research into, say, Kenneth William's life to get it all right. For example, if in his diary he said he poured a cup of tea for himself would it be from a kettle or a teapot?
However, comic book biographies have been attempted, there are ones on Martin Luther King, Louis Armstrong and Louis Riel (by Chester Brown) for example.
I love the film Ed Wood, so perhaps a well documented section of someone's life would work. Stanley Kubrick would be interesting for that.
As far as Superhero diary comics, a guy called Eric Collosal "found" Batman's hourly journal comics. They're pretty funny, take a look here:
