About Me:
I'm 20 years old, and moved from Manchester last year to Durham where I'm doing a degree in a mix of English Literature, Classics and Philosophy. I started self publishing a comic anthology last October called 'Mallard' with some friends, and I do a fortnightly comic called 'Elsewhere...' for my university newspaper 'Palatinate'. Apart from comics, I enjoy listening to Tom Waits, nice days and reading.

Previews!

Well! I've uploaded some previews from 'Two Stories' and 'I like birds' - have a peek on my gallery or whatever it's called; comments, etc are much appreciated :) If you fancy ordering a copy of either of these, or 'Mallard' #4, let me know.

Thanks!

Tom

good. Belive it or not your never far from my thoughts these days. I have a plan to make a comic and send it in to you. I just have to find the right type of pen to do it in. I'm thinking black biro, why stir shit up when I have a winning formula.

Thanks Tom :)
Sadly those final 4 pages I did only got me a Pass grade.
My tutors had a wee go at the examiner, which was nice, but didn't make a difference in the end unfortunately!
How's the house?
It's nice to see you using so much of your time DOING things - a lot unlike me. I just keep sketching and doing random images, rather than project work. Closest to project stuff has been t-shirt designing and making. And planning some bags too. Dunno how I got into textiles...
Lots of love, as always! X

Glad you are still keen!
would love to see roughs in a few weeks, but plenty of time so no worries.
I've just seen your call for Mallard submissions - if I come up with anything I'll let you know.

all the best,
Jim

Hey Tom,
I'm just chasing up people who said they'd like to contribute to Garden Funnies 2. Let me know if you are still interested. Final deadline is in about 6 weeks, so gives you a bit of time.
all the best,
Jim

Yes - we run a magazine called 'Outline' which can be bought from a Travelling Man store near you. We publish quarterly and generally have 5-6 comic strips in each mag as well as now offering slots for articles and essays.
