I'm going to dress up in a body stocking, one of the ones that covers your face, it will be difficult to tell it is me. The costume's official designation is "aerodynamic ghost".
Details for this Drink 'n' Draw are yet to be confirmed but as it lands on Halloween we'll surely be getting up to some spooky business and getting involved with Sandbar's other horror themed events.
I'll probably invite everyone to come in costu…
Hi John, thanks for helping to make me feel so welcome at the Drink & Draw. Had no idea who you were as we chatted, I'm sorry, but (probably as we spoke) I was looking at your art the comic jam thinking "oo, one of those people at the other end of the table must be John Allison.."
Maybe badges..
And i didn't realise it was you at the time, was only when I checked back on here and it said "John Allison is attending Dr Sketchys" that i put two and two together. I won that first prize and was the goon that they made get onstage. Next time I spot you though I'll be over with the handshakes.
Were you sat near the back at the last Dr Sketchys? And won the last prize?
I've recently started reading Scary-Go-Round, all gorgeous stuff. All your characters have so much life in them. Need to have a spare few days to spare, will be able to get through them all.
Dear John,
thanks so much for the copy of Ghosts, which I read in bed last night. Great storytelling, and it's always nice spending time with such lovely lasses!
In a few weeks I'll have Garden Funnies ready to send out, but until then I've a tshirt I'd like to send you, so please let me know S, M, l or XL and I'll put it in the post. It's one of my designs and not comics related, and I think you might be more likely to 'get it' than some others, being in Chadderton. Intriguing huh!
oops only just spotted that last message of yours - you must think me awful rude! Please send me anything to 7 Lake View, Calico Lane, furness Vale, SK23 7QD and include your address then I'll send you something.
Been working at Balderstone school in Kirkholt a day a week for the last term, helping Y10's with their comics projects for media studies. Posted some of the results on my blog http://pawqualitycomics.blogspot.com
Have a merry xmas and all that, and hope to meet you in the new year maybe!
Afraid I don't a huge amout of material to swap (at least compared to your back catalogue!) though I'm sure I could find some bits and bobs.
What is your link to Chadderton? I go to Failsworth Mill every now and then, but don't really know it out there.
