Real name:
Gavin Heryng
Where do you live?
Bury, Manchester
What comics do you create?
I draw nasty stuff. By and large, I lack the creative spark to come up with my own ideas. Give me an idea though, and I'll use that spark to light the most horrific fucking inferno you've ever seen.
Which comic creators do you admire?
Dave Gibbons, Brian Bolland, Warren Ellis, and more.
Which comics do you read?
Not much. I usually wait to hear if something's good and pick up the TPB.
About Me:
Living in Bury, Manchester with my girlfriend whilst working a shit customer services job that takes too much time away from becoming a freelance comic artist and illustrator.

Comic Cons, Flat Tyres and Chest Colds...

So... I decided to take my work back underground... to stop it falling into the wrong hands... Well, actually, that's bollocks. Not just because my work has never actually been Underground, but that even if it had, it's about to get more over-ground than it's ever before. This year foul year of our Lord two-thousand and eight, the evil, throbbing, art-promoting phallus that is Nick Dismas is going to be rammed down the figurative throat of publishers everywhere, causing a gag-refl… Continue

Ha, now a REALLY late reply from me! Not totally my fault though, I THOUGHT I sent it but I think my net cut out or something. Nonetheless I apologise.

And don't worry about seeing me at Bristol and stuff. we're both from Bury, we like art n' comics, it aint so weird :P..

Well, since you have such great artwork, I presume you took art at GCSE? who did you have as your teach? :P

Sorry for taking so long to reply to that comment you left - life's been all hectic. And not in any real interesting way, just hectic.

I was always meaning to buy a copy of that Shades of Blue, but I never got round to it. I think it reminded me too much of Blue Monday, so that put me off. I remember the first time I encountered speechless speech bubbles when I was about seven - really confused me.

Hi! yeah sorry for the late reply, yeah I'm from Totty High, I was the awkward kid who hung around the benches near the science suite at breaks.

Nice to see another Bury man, I say that above assuming you went to Tottington yourself, if you did, I'm afraid I dont quite recognise you. I was class of 2000, chances are you were a year above/below?

All your PAGEs. Hadn't realised I'd done that. It's one of the reasons I don't post stuff on the internet - accidental stupid spelling mistakes that make me look illiterate. I don't mind you calling my stuff cartoony - I've been getting cartoonier and cartoonier for a while, but still trying to keep a bit of darkness.

The girl on the TVs the testcard girl from Life on Mars, yeah. I was loving the series anyway but as soon as she appeared I was sold. I'll be at Bristol behind the MCC table.. hopefully meeting loads of people and selling a few comics.
