Where do you live?
Furness Vale, Derbyshire
What comics do you create?
TeenWitch
Which comic creators do you admire?
Guess lots of kids creators - Leo Baxendale, David Law, then Richard Scarry, John Ryan and Janet Ahlberg who are childrens book illustrators.
More Grown-up stuff - Johnny Ryan, Chris Ware, Herge, Crumb, Clowes, Satrapi and all the obvious quality stuff.
Which comics do you read?
I try to make sure I read 'proper books' every now and then, but loving all the classic reissues (Popeye, Dick Tracy etc), and enjoying the immense Milton Caniff biography by Robert C Harvey.
About Me:
Run comics workshops with kids, teenagers and adults, in schools and galleries. Would be interested in finding out if anyone else does any comics teaching.

aah, tis ok, I enjoyed the workshops [in a sort of freaked out way- although thats just usal for workshops anyway] well. mine isn't until the 26th of July, but you're welcome to pop by and give assistance if you ahve the time ;D

Glad you like the comic,... I'm hoping to get chapter 2 done this year, but i might get side tracked... sometimes the live commisions come first... anyway- it's thumbnailed out at the very least... >_< haha

Hey Jim -

Yeah, I'd love to, thought I'd missed the deadline so didn't send you anything in the end. Will be able to send you something in a couple of weeks though - is this finished copies?

Hi Jim, Yeah, would be nice to help out during your workshop- I'd like as few surprises as possible!! [although workshops are always surprises... sigh]

Ummm, Yes, I have done the occasional workshop for various reasons lol. I had a few drawing ones [supposedly for manga, but really just for basic drawing] last year with a museum in places in south yorkshire. and another in Rugby- both times I was backing up an archeologist lol [he'd talk in great detail, and I'd try and draw things at the speed he was talking at...] Sally asked me to do a manga drawing/kids book workshop in July at the Whitworth and I was just going through the members here, and your name and the description clicked ;) so i thought I say hi, and ask- are workshops scary?? lol

Hi Jim, the next DandD will probably be late Jan sometime and I'd definitely be up for that pint in the New Year. Have a Merry Christmas, Jim.
